Richard Armstrong has been in Financial Services for over 15 years, having joined his parents IFA firm after his studies.
He is a fully qualified Mortgage Adviser and advises clients under the name of ‘Armstrongs Mortgage Services’ which is a registered trading name with the Financial Conduct Authority as part of Armstrongs FS Ltd. He is also “the Armstrong” in our East Belfast High Street Estate Agency ‘Armstrong Anderson’, heading up and looking after all the financial aspects of buying / selling a house.
Richard has also completed his Level 4 Exams through the London Institute of Banking and Finance, with a view to continuing the family business into the future.
Richard is married, with 2 children and was a keen rugby player, having only recently retired from playing 1st XV rugby for his lifelong team, Bangor RFC. He now holds the position of team manager of Bangor RFC 1st XV.
Helen Armstrong has been in the financial services industry for over 30 years and has seen many changes in products, services and regulation. She is the managing director and senior adviser in Armstrongs FS Ltd, which is a family business with her son also involved and her husband just recently retired.
Helen achieved her Advanced Financial Planning Certificate in 1998 including the advanced pensions exam and has kept her qualifications up to date and is now level four qualified, as currently required to practice. She is also a fully qualifies pension transfer specialist fully approved to advise on defined benefits / final salary transfers.
Helen has experience across all areas of financial planning, both personal and corporate, and prides herself on attention to detail and providing solutions tailored to a client’s specific needs whether they be individuals or corporate, and always taking into account existing plans.
Helen is a past president of the Northern Ireland Life & Pensions Society and has been an active member of the professional bodies representing the financial services industry.
Helen is married with 2 children and 4 grandchildren. She has enjoyed singing since she was a little girl and has been lucky enough to sing in prestigious venues all over the world, both solo and with choirs. Helen is now a member of Bangor Ladies Choir and also serves on the management committee as the choir Travel Officer.
